J Foster Architect's conversion of an historic West Hampstead railway cottage achieved practical completion in 2016. It features a generous open-plan living space at it's heart, replete with the warm tones of the bespoke oak joinery and crowned by the full-height bi-fold doors opening onto a private, enclosed courtyard. The oak tone is continued upstairs with the cleverly fitted wardrobes maximising storage space. The end result is a top-notch and spacious, modern dwelling that belies its modest budget.
