Planning Approval and Listed Building Consent were granted in April 2018 for a full 40sqm basement plus a new front external lightwell and window. J Foster Architects was appointed to design the basement extension for a Grade II listed Georgian Townhouse in the Canonbury Conservation Area. The proposal was to reduce the level of the existing cellar floor level with a sensitive structural solution to create additional habitable space for a playroom, study and utility room.
